   Not often am I surprised. This is the first time I tried one of these air-vent attachments because I was skeptical about it either damaging my delicate vent fins or just not holding my big-ass phone in place. I was also concerned about my phone blocking too much vent flow but that doesn’t look like it will be a big issue. I will update this review later if either of these events occur but for the moment I really like this thing. I have the monster sized Galaxy Note 4 which is a handful and if it starts jiggling off the dash as I’m driving, I’ll have more to say. The attached photos show you things the seller didn’t bother to tell you. The clip on the back has two different thickness slots to accommodate various vents (I have no idea why there is some sloppy sticky stuff there. I can only think maybe the seller took a sticker off while reselling). For my Hyundai Accent, I needed to use the narrow slot. The clippy thing on the back does rotate so horizontal or vertical can be done. Yes, I took a picture of my old HTC phone using my Note 4. Then I turned around and took a couple shots of the Note 4 in place.

   The Note 4 is heavy and I’ll add info here if bad things start happening while actually driving.

   This simple little cell holder is the best one we’ve had yet. My husband loves the fact that he doesn’t have to permanently attach something to his “Baby”. Easily fits both his large cell and my small one. We really like it as it makes GPS navigation so much easier.
   As a blogger companies sometimes provide me with samples of their products, and in this case, Genie Digital provided me with their Vent Mount to test and review and to give my honest opinion of the results.

   I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a mount for my phone, but I also didn’t feel comfortable getting anything magnetic in case it damaged my phone. For my purposes, this mount worked just fine. It adjusts to any phone with the slider, and it keeps it still no matter if I’m driving over speed bumps. My only complaint is that if I adjust it in any way, it usually detaches from the air vent. It’s easy to slide back on, so it’s not a major nuisance. Plus, if I want to skip a song or modify my GPS address, it stays put, too, so I can’t really complain. Also, be warned: this DOES block the air vent. I put it on the passenger vent so I can still get air flow, and it works just fine.

   Update: I’ve just discovered I can turn the mount horizontally. This allows me to keep my phone upright instead of sideways. When I mount it this way, it does NOT block the air vent at all. In fact, I prefer mounting my phone upright because some applications don’t automatically tilt the phone screen, so it makes it harder to navigate while driving.
