   In the past, I’ve tried attaching several different mounts in my van, but with the curvature of the dash and window, it’s been almost impossible. This is one of the very few that I’ve been able to successfully mount, thanks to its flexibility as a suction mount, and 360 degree rotation ball. Plus- it’s also perfect for mounting my phone to ANY hard surface, allowing me to watch movies and such directly from my phone or tablet while lying in bed. I simply release it from any surface by pulling up on the tab that, when down, is used to secure the suction.

   What’s so unique about this mount, is that it’s a full-size, sturdy, secure mount- that easily and securely snaps onto any hard surface. It stays put, too. Plus, it securely fits, and strongly holds my iPhone 6, and my sons iPhone 5c- despite that they both have heavy duty cases- thanks to the adjustable sides, padded grip, and retractable ‘feet’ that secure the bottom.

   In so many ways, this is absolutely one of the better, if not best, phone holder I’ve seen on the market to-date. I am very happy to finally have this, and I’m sure that you’ll equally love it! By all means: I highly recommended it.

   I have reviewed several of these Phone Mounts and sadly many of them after a week or more that stop working as well because I have a heavy phone case on my phone. This one rocks. This is a very nice mount.
   The great thing about this besides the super suction cup, is the arm of the mount doesn’t have an accordion type of arm. This one has a solid one and I feel it’s much better and much stronger.
   I also like that this phone mount opens to 100mm. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active with an Otterbox case on it, so I need a mount that opens wide. It also opens very easily with a push of the button on the back of the mount. Just press and hold the button on the back until it opens as far as you need and/or want.
   I travel back and forth to work. My commute is an hour each way without traffic and I go over a LOT of bumpy roads and gravel roads. This phone mount has held up through it all. I also love that the part that holds your phone comes off easily from the mount and you can put your phone in the holder and then place it on the mount if you want. Sometimes I prefer to do that. It also has on the mount 4 hooks and not 3 like many other phone mounts have.
   I purchased this mount at a discount during a promotion in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I am extremely happy with this mount.

   Silo Universal Cell Phone Car Holder is a durable well made device that works very easily. When I first opened this I was disappointed I admit. It came with no directions at all, nothing on the box or inside. It all looked very easy but I could not get the sides to open enough to get a phone in it. I tried everything. I pushed and pushed the button on the back, nothing happened. I knew a button had to have a purpose, but I couldn’t figure it out. I set it down till the next day and gave it to my husband and told him to figure it out. His thoughts were the same as mine, the button on the back had to open the sides or release them in some fashion. Just to get it to work now was the problem. Now he has big strong man hands, he tried and tried. Finally he pushed it very hard, (we figured it might break as hard as he was pushing on this button). It popped once and released the sides, they opened automatically.

   The rest is a piece of cake, put your phone in, swing the little feet things out to rest the bottom of the phone on, use the suction cup and attach it to the dash. This holder works like a dream now. It will hold an iPhone 6s Plus with an otterbox defender case and still gives you 1/4 inch or so room to spare. After the phone is in place you just push the sides gently tight against your phone. To open you just push the button on the back, it opens automatically. Our button on ours had to be stuck from shipping was the problem. After hubby got it open the first time, it now works everytime very easily. The suction cup sticks, and I mean it sticks! I made the mistake of trying it on my desk and it was hard to get off. That is a good thing though if you don’t want it falling off. It will hold a heavyweight phone very safely. I have used it twice a day not for over 2 weeks without fail.

   The only thing I would like that it doesn’t do is this. The section that holds you phone attached to the dash mount with 4 little things that look like clips in the back, The clips do not snap in place securely. This makes removing the phone and mount easy to just lift up and away, but I do wish they would snap in place tighter. I have not tried it on a bumpy road, I don’t travel them to often. I do feel on a bumpy road or somewhere you might have phone bounced around a bit, the phone holder might come off the mounting base since it just “sets there”. I have looked at the plastic molding closely and it looks like it is designed to “snap” in place securely, but the molded clips are just a touch to wide to slip up in the small spaces to hold them right.

   NOTE, my pictures were taken with my old iPhone 5 in an otterbox case, but it will work with a 6s Plus and a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in otterboxes. I couldn’t take pictures of my 6s Plus because I was using it to take the pictures.
