   At first I was skeptical about a magnet holding my phone, especially since my phone is a Nexus 6P with a Spigen case, so it’s a bit on the bigger side. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised how well the mount works. Going over speedbumps, taking sharp turns have not been a problem. Having a magnetic mount is so convenient, too! Mounting and dismounting the phone only takes one hand and it’s a breeze.

   What I really like about the new Koomas Pro CD-M is that it doesn’t need to be mounted in the middle of the CD slot, I like to mount mine a little more to the left which is nice because on the older version the phone could only be mounted in the center only. Another thing I like about the newer version is that it doesn’t stand out as much as the older version, the older version just felt so bulky.

   Overall, this is a great product and very stable even for bigger phones. I would definitely recommend this product.

   Just for reference I am using this product in a 2013 Acura TL using a Nexus 6P phone in a Spigen Rugged Armor case

   I purchased this Koomus Pro CD-M phone holder because I was looking for an easy way to mount my iPhone 6 in my car. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of this magnetic contraption and how it would be inserted into the CD slot. I did a bunch of research into this model and the affects that magnets have on the modern smartphone. My results were that the magnet would not cause any damage to the phone. You do not have to worry about losing any files because your phone has SSD (solid state drive). I know that the average person would think that any magnet is bad for electronics. Computers with hard drives can be harmed by a strong enough magnet because hard drives use magnetism to store information. SSD’s on phones (and now in many computers) do not use magnetism, rather they use semiconductor technology. Therefore, you have nothing to fear with this magnetic phone holder deleting any media on your phone. Also, this does not affect your GPS apps (Apple Maps or Google Maps). I use Google Maps and the magnet does not interfere with its functionality. The GPS uses satellites, not a compass, to navigate.

   I have been using this phone holder every day for my hour commute to work since I’ve purchased it a week ago. I have an Otterbox Symmetry case on my phone and I put both metal plates between the phone and the case. The rubber coating on the magnet prevents any scratches. The phone will literally not come off of the holder unless you get into an accident or if someone knocks it off. I accidentally hit a few potholes this week and my phone didn’t move at all. The ball-axis that the magnet sits on is firm as well and can be easily adjusted. The push button that keeps the holder fastened inside of the CD slot is firm and ensures a tight grip.

   I am happy that I chose this phone holder. It takes zero effort to use and it is a lot more convenient than the standard phone holder with a spring-loaded claw. I would recommend this phone holder to anybody and everybody.

   I drive mustang 2013 model and trying to mount iPhone 6s with thick otterbox strada wallet case.

   From the extensive search and reading 100s of reviews I found out the magnet mount is the only option to mount my iPhone with folio wallet case. I’m really against the idea of using the vent to hold my phone because cool air conditioning or heating can probably ruin my phone and therefore I want to keep my vents all open. Finally I have narrowed my options to getting a magnet mount that sticks inside the CD slot since I don’t use CDs anymore.

   I bought the iottie but the magnet was very weak and failed to hold my heavy phone in place so I returned it. Then started search again for large and strong magnets to firmly hold my iPhone 6s in place. Finally I have stumbled on the Koomus Pro and bought it immediately because of large magnets of both mount and plates.

   Once I received the Koomus Pro I have taped one plate against the back of my cover. I have avoided sticking the magnet on the back of the phone because I don’t want to leave a mark on the phone.

   I’ve inserted the mount inside the CD slot and then comes the phone and it’s been a week now and finally found what works for me.

   My only issue the mount doesn’t fit all the way inside the CD player so it wobbles a bit but so far no worries at all as the phone is firmly held. Now I can freely talk and listen to music while keep focus on the road.
