I have been using this mount for the last few days and so far it’s been working well. My 2 complaints are that the 4 “arms” that clips onto the vents have 4 rubber pieces covering it and those sometimes slide off when you pull the mount off the vent. The 2nd gripe is that the arms holding the phone don’t have a button for me to press to release the phone. I have to manually pull one arm further out to release the phone, which sometimes loosens the whole thing from the vent, causing complaint #1 to occur. Hopefully Aukey comes out with an updated mount with a one touch button to release the phone and not have the 4 rubber pieces be removable.

This is a very basic car mount that clips to an air vent instead of requiring a bulk mount that would adhere to your windshield.

Why you would get this
1. Price is much less than other styles. This is quite affordable, and priced under others.
2. Don’t want a car mount that obstructs your view out the windshield
3. Want something that will be small and compact
4. Does not require anything to be placed on your phone or case, like and adhesive, magnet or suction cup

Why you would not like this
1. It can deal with any size phone with a small case but larger bulky cases (like wallet cases) won’t work with this.
2. It fits in your vent, so it will block some of your air flow (but I honestly don’t notice it so much)
3. It’s not as easy to open and close as some other larger style mounts because you physically pry it open to get the phone out.

I’ve had other car vents, and this does not seem like a bad deal to me. It securely holds your phone and it will not fall off, which is the most important thing. I received this sample for the purpose of this review.

This Clip On Car Mount from Aukey does an excellent job holding a wide variety of devices. iPhones, Androids, mp3 players and more all fit nice and snugly in this universal mount. Installation is simple, you just slide the clip part into the holder and then clip it onto your air vent. Once clipped onto your vent you can easily slide your phone into the mount each time you get in the car. Your phone is then right where you need it to ensure perfect visibility. You can even rotate your phone for both horizontal and vertical viewing. I am very impressed by this small yet strong mount, and I would recommend it.
