   Great Phone Holder – Suction Cup is Amazing!!, October 31, 2015

   I wanted a simple, yet sturdy phone holder that was versitile in it’s manner of mounting. This had 5 stars and came with both a vent and suction (dash or window) mount. At first, the unique design of the vent mounts caught my attention, so I tried that out. It fit tightly on my car’s vents with enough adjustability to postion the phone just how you want it. I then grabbed the suction cup mount, pulled off the plastic protective cover, and stuck it on the vinyl dashboard of my Passat (soft touch with texture). I honestly did not expect the suction cup to actually grab the dash, but to my pleasant surprise, the mount was stuck to the dash and didn’t appear to be moving, even with substantial pressure applied by hand. Because of the mount’s location on my dashboard being almost perfect, I had no desire to move it to the windshield – so I can’t speak to how well it works on a windshield (where I thought it would be the ONLY place it would work!). I even removed it slowly from my dash (seemed to not mar the dash, though it was only there for an hour or something..) and moved it over to my wife’s mini van dashboard, where I stuck and re-stuck it in a different position, with the same positive result in the strength of the bond between the suction cup and the dash were beyond my expectations.

   As for putting your phone in and out, there is no lever or anything, so you have to find a way to cram your phone in there in a way that works for you and your particular device/case. I had my plain S5 in the mount as well as my S5 with a Power Bank case. In both situations the clamping mechanism holds the phone securely. Removing the phone is the same issue, you have to come up with a technique that works for you.

   This is one extremely useful car mount! My husband and I both have different phones, I have the i6 while my husband uses one of those larger Galaxy phones and this easily holds them both. It is really easy to use, even our five year old can use it without a problems, in fact he loves how you just have to stick the phone in and it automatically clamps down on it. It securely holds the phone in place no matter which way you turn it, which is another good thing about this. You can literally adjust it to any angle you want and it will stay in place, even when going over all the estate speed bumps.

   This holder is marketed as two in one because you can choose to have it set up either as an air vent or windshield mount. I personal have it attached to my air vent but if that option isn’t suitable for your can then it is nice to know that you could also choose to attached it to your dash or windscreen making this I guess your one stop mount for all cars.

   This mount is really worth it. It’s easy to install and operate, secure and won’t damage your phone or interrupt your driving. I would recommend this for anyone in the market for a car mount.

   Perfect. I have a car that has limited space for a cell phone holder. When I saw this product, I thought it was the perfect fit for my small car space. It holds my Galaxy s5 quite nicely and doesn’t slide out or fall off the vent like I expected it too. This kind of phone holder is nice because it has a release button on the back that slides the edge arms out. That means it fits ANY size. It opens really wide then you set the phone in place and gently squeeze the arms until the holder grips the phone lightly. There’s room out of the bottom for the charging cord to drop down to its car plug. I really like this holder. It’s top notch and highly rated. I might buy another one for my other vehicle.
