Great Lighting Cable!,
I decided to test Anker’s 6ft Powerline Lightning Cable (Space Grey) against my 6 ft Amazon Basics Cable (white).
From try pictures you can tell the Powerline is better supported at both cable ends with pvc supports. You can see, my Amazon basics was already beginning to show wire towards the 9-pin end of the cable. To be fair, I have had the Amazon basics cable for a year… However I have also had other Anker cables for the same amount of time and the Anker ones are not showing any wire.
Both cables fit into the slot on my Otterbox defender, so the size of both are not an issue. However you can tell that Anker’s 9-pin cable end is smaller than the 9-pin end on Amazon Basics cable. So if size is a concern, the Powerline would be the way to go.
When charging my phone, I noticed Anker’s Powerline cable had been charging a bit faster than my Amazon basics cable.
Both cables are MFI certified. (Yey!)
The only upper hand that Amazon basics has with their cable is the price, $9.99
However, in my opinion, with durability, speed, warranty (18 months), and excellent customer service, Anker’s Powerline Lightning Cable wins.
For the extra $6.00, you will likely be saving yourself money in the long with Anker’s long, unchallenged, warranty.

|Great cable, great price, fits iPhone 6S Lifeproof case,
For those of you who want to know, the measurements of the cable end are:
0.209″ x 0.3932″ (via calipers)
The measurements of the power hole on the iPhone 6S lifeproof case are:
0.245″ x 0.430″ (via calipers)
I haven’t had any “unrecognized cable” issues.
One of the features I like about the cable is that the Lightning plug is a little longer than the original Apple cable which allows me to better grab it to unplug instead of having to pull the cord.
