   I ordered this kit because my wife’s internal microphone went out so no one could hear her unless she put them on speaker. It came fast, I installed it in 10 minutes and works perfectly fine now. The tools it came with are perfect and better/cheaper than the tool kits from radio shack. I have experience fixing phones so it was relatively easy but they provide easy to follow videos so you can’t really mess this up.

   You get what you pay for. And yeah the generic is cheaper and sure this one is not Apple approved, but get real. All of Apple’s stuff was probably made in Taiwan in the same factory as this one. I bet Apple leases the space right next to where this one is made. My point is there is so much competition on Amazon.com that you can really get anything cheaper then the current one your looking at. But why choose this $25 one over the cheaper one. 1) I am sure this company Q and As all the products they sell. So you know you will get something that will actually work. 2) If a problem arises.. would you rather deal with a Hong Kong seller, or someone in “your backyard”. I pay extra for customer service if it means spending 10 bucks more. So don’t be cheap, and buy the product that will work, and that is backed by customer service. And you get coupons from Zeetron to their website when you order from them. Be smart… purchase from Zeetron. Don’t cheap out.. You already are saving a million dollars by keeping Apple’s hands off it.

   Now on to the install difficulty. If your i-sight is not the greatest.. I suggest getting a professional, message me if you want a really good one that fixes them for you no matter where you are located. If you have decent i sight and have opened an iPhone before. You can do this. Just be very gentle with the adhesive. If you dont know what you are pulling, stop and look. If you don’t rush you can do this. Basically the battery has to come out, the black piece that sits over this parts comes out, and ofcourse the old port, as well as the old mic. Also do not loose the little black triangle piece it helps hold the larger black retainer in place. Lastly, if your home button is functioning, part of this kit you will not need. If your home button is not functioning, then thank Zeetron because they give you one. You will have to disconnect the home button (very easy) just make sure when you reconnect it you slide it into the clip the correct way, and then lock the clip down. And before you put everything back together just run a test. make sure the components you messed with work. The mic, the home button, the speaker phone, and of course the port. If any of these things are not functioning, call this company up (nicely) and they will handle your issue fast as lightning. Again message me for details on a good fix it company if you do not feel comfortable, if you have the part they will literally do the repair for about 15 bucks. Have a good day, BUY FROM ZEETRON! Any seller that is listing under the listing that is ‘by Zeetron’ is techincally not selling the same product. So lookout for that.

   I am a stickler for stuff being as advertised and all my reservations were put to ease as it made my Iphone 4s work normal again. I will order another one if my microphone and charge port ever start malfunctioning again. Definitely saved me a lot of money doing it myself.
