   Ever heard of that saying, “You get what you pay for?”

   Well it’s true. It’s especially true when it comes to charging cords for Apple products.

   I ordered 2 cords. In less than 2 weeks, one stopped working. Now, only a couple of months later, the other one is starting to go. Thanks to my prime membership, I was able to return the first one with nary an issue. (Hence 2 stars instead of just one.) I really should have just returned both cords bec. now it’s too late to get a refund on the 2nd set. (Blarg!)I ended up ordering 2 Apple-certified cords for a bit more money.

   If you don’t want to ante up to buy the official Apple cord, and pay less for aftermarket options (like me), do yourself a favor – spend the extra few bucks and get a certified cord. You will save yourself from the unnecessary headache.

   It broke within 2 weeks. The device side of the cable pulled right out of the blue cable housing. I had another brand for over a year and it never broke.
