   First off, have to compliment Anker in general for the quality of their products. Have bought numerous of their items (multiple battery packs, bluetooth speaker, S5 replacement batteries, misc cords, sure I’ve missed some) and have yet to run into any issues. Good prices and great quality.

   Purchased this to use in my work truck as I don’t like having my personal phone rattle around in the cup holders. Was a little skeptical going into the purchase, but have no regrets. Was easy to install (and removes easily as well), it tightens in and attaches fairly solidly. The rotation ball allows one to adjust the viewing angle in any direction. To be thorough, I tested it on all our family’s vehicles.

   2003 Pontiac Grand Prix – I figured this vehicle might have the most issues installing, as the CD slot is right below the air vent which bubble out fairly substantially. However it fit right in and had room to spare. Only very slight downside, is since it mounts in front of the vents the phone will be affected by heat or cold coming from them.

   2010 Ford F-250 – This is my work truck which it’ll be used in almost exclusively. Installed easily with no issues.

   2013 Honda Odyssey – Again no issues installing, however since the entertainment center angles back fairly substantially you have to adjust the angle of the mount down a decent amount. It works, just am slightly restricted in how far down you can angle it depending on your preference.

   2007 Chrysler Sebring – No issues, installed easily and plenty of room to change the angle. Does cover some of the entertainment center’s buttons, but not a big deal.

   In short, this mount is an easy recommend. Can adjust the viewing angle of the mount as well the sides so it can work with a variety of phones. Might run into some issues covering buttons, but that will depend completely on your vehicle. (Also included pictures of it in each of my vehicles.)

   First off, this seems to be a very well made product and the price is great (as I’ve found to be true with many Anker products).

   Unfortunately, on both the Nexus 6P and the Moto X (2015), the side clamp is too high and presses the volume down button on both phones when clamped. The overlap on the N6P is about a millimeter, while the overlap on the Moto X is just barely a hair. Nonetheless, both overlaps interfere with both volume down buttons. See attached pics.

   Anker should really update the description to note that it’s not compatible with either phone. Or at least remove “Nexus” from the title, since it definitely does not work with all Nexus phones.

   EDIT: In the 24 hours since I posted this review, Anker has already emailed me to apologize and issue a refund. They didn’t even ask for me to send back the product, which I have already given to a friend who has an iPhone. Awesome.

   The email also stated “I’ve forwarded your feedback to our product team and we are in the process of upgrading this product. But we do not have the ETA of the new version for now.” So keep in mind that an N6P and Moto X compatible version is in the works.

   I have long been pleased with Anker products, and it’s nice to know their customer service is also great.

   I’m tempted to bump my review up a star, but I will leave it at 3 stars in hopes that it catches the attention of potential customers who own a N6P or Moto X to warn them not to buy just yet.

   EDIT 2: I have changed the review to 5 stars because the product description no longer says it’s compatible with Nexus phones, the product is well made, and the customer service was awesome.

   CD Mounted Phone Holder – So Good I Pulled Off the Road to Write This Review, May 8, 2015

   20 minutes, I put this mount in my car and I’ve running errands with it. I gotta tell you…I’m some impressed by it that I had to pull off to the side of the road to start writing this review (which I later completed at home).

   Some background:

   Because of the confusing laws in the state of California dictating where we can and can’t mount our phones in our cars, it took us going through seven different mounts before we figure that the CD slot was the best location to mount our phones.

   Prior to the Anker, used an earlier version of This Caseology Mount.

   Overall it was okay, but I was annoyed by the way my iPhone 6 Plus would constantly drive out of position during our car’s normal vibration.

   So I was hopeful when I receive this CD Mount from Anker. Because I’ve had great experiences before with this brand, my expectations are pretty high…

   But here’s what I’m finding:

   + It requires a little bit of assembly, but easily manageable. You have to insert the cell phone onto the swiveling ball joint.
   + And you can adjust the tightness of the once it is attached to the ball. That is very important, and this the crux of what was wrong with our previous mount. It was always too loose. But with the Anker, you can adjust it to a level of tightness that holds your phone in place, while at the same time leaving it loose enough that you can adjust it between portrait and landscape which many people do all the time when using their map app.
   + The base of the mount slides easily into the CD slot. Once in, you turn a knob until it tight that the mount stays in.
   + This mount uses a ratchet system to hold the phone which keeps the level of tension the same throughout the entire range of motion. This was far superior to our previous mount which used a spring loaded system which pretty much discriminated against bigger phones like mine, i.e. the wider you stretch it, the harder it is to pull.

   So far I’m finding the Anker to be far, far better than just about any CD slot phone mount we’ve ever used…and just about every phone mount we’ve ever used PERIOD.

   It’s not without it’s own annoying quirk, however:

   First of all, it’s hard to tell just how to tight to tighten the knob that fastens it to the CD slot. So I guessed as well as I could. However, once I had the mount solidly fastened, I found that every few days, it would come loose and I’d have to tight it a bit. Big picture, this not a big deal which warrants removal of a star.

   This is a quality product that is the best phone mount I’ve ever used. I hope they keep improving it. Still…I had to deduct one start for the way in which I need to right the knob that fastens it into the CD Slot.
