   I ordered the “Rose Gold” (I’d personally call it Rose Pink) lightning cords and I’m pleasantly surprised. I figured I’d be getting a cheaply made cord for the price listed; I was mistaken. I don’t have the “Rose Gold” iPhone, I have the Gold one, and this one matches the luster of my “Gold” phone. It has an opalescent finish; so it’s not matte and it’s not shiny-it’s almost tacky in texture. This is a standard sized cord-it’s no longer than the stock cord that comes with your phone, but it’s more flexible. It has a reinforced piece where you pull it out, which is nice because my other chargers keep breaking there. Usually I preemptively use a piece of electrical tape, I don’t feel like I need to do this with this product. With the extra piece of hard plastic where the cord meets the pins; I feel it is safely reinforced and will withstand even a preschooler and toddler removing the cord. This came in a three pack and all three chargers work; not one caused an error message of “unsupported accessory.” All three are as fast as the stock cord that comes with the phone-which is AWESOME as I’ve experience “off brand” cords sometimes don’t charge as effectively as I would like. Overall, I’m pleased with this product. If I have to but another cord again (I mean, really, there’s 3!) I would definitely go through this seller; it was a pleasant experience. I had an issue with my order and they contacted me back within minutes. I was given this product for free and/or a discount; my review stands on its own-this product is exactly as advertised!

   Good affordable replacement lightning cables., March 3, 2016

   I purchased these for the wife. Personally I am not exactly too fond of pink, but hey whatever floats your boat. I have included plenty of pictures that may be helpful for those looking to purchase some replacements. There are so many aftermarket cables that are cheaper than the $20 Apple sells it can be hard to decide what brand. Hopefully my review can shed some light on these.

   In the pictures I compare these cables directly up against an OEM one from my iPad 4. OEM meaning the cable from Apple cable is worn but still works perfectly fine. I’ve personally never had any bad luck with cables, knock on wood, I never had one crap out on me. The wife on the other hand…. You can see the package comes in a basic bag and nothing fancy. They are wrapped individually in a square style plastic holder again nothing fancy.

   Let’s get the comparisons going.

   Lightning insert side

   In the first comparison picture you can see that the lightning insert part is pretty much identical. You can see the plastic molding and the extra cover of the wire are the same lengths. Solid job by Dreo for trying to make it as compliant as possible for cases and such. The second picture, the view from the top of the lightning ports you can see that Dreo’s plastic molding is a bit more circular and not in a more oval shape like its OEM Apple counterpart. I have a hard time believing that this port insert wouldn’t work for any case the Apple one would. The difference is ridiculously minimal. Overall the connector itself seems of the same quality and build as the Apple one.

   USB insert side

   The USB side of the cable is pretty much identical. The next two pictures top view and side to side view show that they are identical to the eye. One thing I noticed is that there is no USB symbol imprinted on the side like the Apple one. If that is your deal breaker, may the lord help you. Again same as the lighting side, it is identical in length and shape of both the molding and the extra wire covering.

   Cable length, feel and quality

   The length is about 2 inches shorter than the OEM. I measured the cable itself not including the connector parts or the extra wire molding and it’s about 37 inches. So spot on for the item being as described.

   For me this is where it lost a star. The wife probably won’t even notice but I’m a bit more particular than her. Apple’s original cable has more of a rubbery smooth feel to it, it’s easily bent and almost has like a certain feel and texture to it. While Dreo’s cable is spot on for replication of usage, the material used for the cable is stiffer and more like a hard plastic than a soft rubber feel to it. Straightening it out was on the tougher side of the spectrum of cables I’ve used. Minus a star for that but a solid product and for the price it’s a great purchase. We will see how long these last her and I will update accordingly.

   Also a tip for all users, when you straighten out any cable don’t yank it straight by holding onto the end of the connectors that’s how you break them. Straighten the wire by pulling the wire itself from end to end, if you grab the tip and yank the wire straight you have a chance of ruining the connection of the insert to the actual cable. This theory also applies to removing cables. Don’t yank from the wire out, pull from the plastic molding. I’m almost sure this is one of my wife’s downfalls.

   I received this 3 pack of cables at a discount to give my honest review. I try to review everything I purchase from Amazon that is worthy of a review regardless of if it is good or bad. I have a ton of history and your more than welcome to check out the other things I’ve reviewed.

   I am usually hard on my lightening cables. Usually to the point it starts breaking open near the plug in part. Due to playing on my phone the wire tends to bend near the plug in while it’s charging. I am always on the search for a pretty durable lightening cable. After using these cords, they seem pretty durable. Time will tell and if they don’t work I will update my review.

   This should be the only cord you use for your apple devices that are “MFI Apple Certified”. These cords are nice length especially for your desk or office space where you don’t want a lot of extra cord getting in the way. I measured and they are little bit longer than 3ft. They arrived neatly packaged and the color isn’t exactly as the photo. They are a more of a pale pink metallic color. I actually like the subtle color it’s not “in your face” bright pink.

   The price point for 3 of them is good. Since some of the name brand cables, which do the same thing are way pricier. I have had no issues with my protective case and the cord not being able to reach the port.

   The charging seems to be great. I do Not get any messages while using these that say “this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone.” So these are legit. Being that they are certified.

   I also think it’s a perfect length for traveling in the car with my phone. Overall they are a good, sturdy, reliable cord. Worth the price. Nice color. Try them out. Also note they have a 1 year hassle free manufacturer warranty in case they do happen to split or anything.
