   I was very skeptical of mounting my phone to my bike when my girlfriend first suggested it. We looked at several options and they all seemed to rely on plastic frames and various friction/grip spring loaded claws. I bike 8 miles to work, roundtrip, daily and often through busy traffic. I never know when I will have to brake hard or swerve and the concept of putting my smartphone on my handles, where the most jerking might occur made me very uneasy. I especially liked the idea of silicone band enhanced mounts that added that extra shock absorbing embrace of security when riding.

   *The product says, on the packaging, ‘to fit any smartphone’- which seems to be a bit of a stretch (pun intended) of the truth. While 3 grip bands are included and one could use two bands to secure the top and bottom of one’s phone separately, I would not put my Phablet style (Note) phone in here. The spring loaded grip is VERY tight, which is a great thing, as I feel confident it could hold my phone in place alone, without the silicone netting, but doesn’t expand much more than 4″, making it a tight fit for larger phones. This being said, I think this mount would work best with most iPhones, and second best with Windows and Android smartphones such as the Lumia and Galaxy models. My Samsung Galaxy S4 is shown and fits snug. You’ll note the Apple phone shown in the product images has more grip room on the corners because it is a smaller footprint. Take in mind most protective phone cases you’d want on your phone while biking add a considerable amount of bulk.

   *This mount was easy to install and did only take a few minutes. We didn’t care much for the ‘adjustable’ method of sizing the frame grip by adding layers of included silicone grips. It works, but it required some cutting/trimming, and seems like the grip should telescope much smaller and simply require less tightening for larger framed bikes.

   *The phone mount itself snaps into a 360 pivot joint that allows viewing from nearly any angle- which is great when you’re out biking in the sun and need to adjust for glare. I suggest investing in a glass screen protector with glare protection if you intend on using this mount, or any mount for regular navigation. I primarily use mine for Bluetooth purposes to screen calls to and from work, and listen to the radio.

   *This product advertises full phone access- again, I don’t quite now how they can claim that for EVERY phone, but on our Galaxy S4 we are able to easily position the expandable clam-shell grips so that they do not interfere with volume buttons. This being said the silicone grip frame DOES cover our touch home and menu buttons. (See photo)

   In all, my phone feels very secure and I bike confidently with this mount. I have yet to notice any weakening in the pivot joint and the elasticity of the web band. The company offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you’re in the fence about the FIT of the mount and your device (as case thicknesses and such vary,) it’s worth a chance in our opinion. Our only real gripe with our unique experiences is the fact that the webbing DOES go over and interfere with our menu and home buttons on the S4. This is to be expected with the design- but contrary to the marketing of the product. We received a discount in hopes we would share our honest thoughts, which I have provided here.    I have a Fitbit and several apps to track my exercise (like Map My Ride). I bought several fanny pack like waist belts to hold my iPhone 6+ while exercising…and that wasn’t quite working for me. All of the belts were just slightly too small, and it was a struggle to get my iPhone to fit. I ended up having to remove the rubber outer casing and putting the phone in the belts with only the hard casing. I didn’t think I should have to do this, but resigned myself to this, as there don’t appear to be many exercise belts that are capable of containing the iPhone 6+ without it being a super tight fit. The next problem I was running into is my phone fit so tightly into these belts it was a pain to stop bicycling, exercising to check my phone, not having the ability to check my stats, change songs, things of that sort. Again, this was irritating, but I’d resigned myself to this.

   This phone mount takes ALL of those irritations. I now am able to access my phone at all times, I can review my stats with ease, I don’t have to deal with the struggle of getting my phone in and out of a belt opening,I can change songs…and unlike the belts, it fits my phone PERFECTLY. As the other reviews state, the construction is very sturdy, and I found it easy to install. I was VERY impressed that I received a letter from the company reminding me to register the mount (it has a % year warranty), and that if I had any problems to respond to that e-mail so they could make my experience with them a 5 star experience. Not all sellers do this, and that little extra step that is above and beyond means something to me…that the company cares about my experience with their product and wants to make sure it’s a great one. Based on the construction of this product, their customer contact…and that this perfectly fits my iPhone 6+…I would definitely do business with this company again! I was offered the opportunity to review this phone bicycle mount at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion…and I’m glad I decided to.

   Vibrelli Universal Bike Phone Mount Holder. Using this with my Nexus 6, and it fits like a glove. Beware that the spring-loaded phone clamp may cover buttons or jacks on the edges of your phone. I’m happy with the quality and construction. It comes with a hex key for tightening the nut and bolt that secure the clamp, along with three strips of rubber that can be stacked for attaching to a thinner bar. Also included are three sets of very stretchy web grips for attaching your smartphone to the mount, in red, black, and grey. I wanted to avoid stacking more than one strip of rubber, so I attached the mount to the thicker main bicycle handlebar post, as you can see in the pictures. That also gave me a center location, which was nice, too. I had trouble lining up the threads, until I pinched the plastic clamp together with one hand while turning the hex key with the other. It took a moderate amount of hand strength to do that, and it would have been easier if someone was helping me. A sturdy plastic ball-and-socket, with a large nut you can tighten, allows the angle of the smartphone to be adjusted and fixed. This seems to be a good design, but I will have to wait a few days before I can test it out. I’ll report back if any negatives.
