   This item is exactly what it claims to be. It is the front glass replacement, and I am going to review it based on what it claims that it is. It is a very high quality glass replacement and did exactly what I wanted it to do. I run a repair shop and have an lcd separator machine, so I’m sure this is a difficult repair to do if you have no clue what you are doing, and don’t own the necessary equipment to do so. However I feel like the other negative reviews are mostly because they did not know what they were buying. This is just the glass front (exactly like it says) and doesn’t come with the actual lcd. If you are looking for an easy repair, purchase the whole assembly, otherwise if you are looking to increase your profit margin and are willing to put in the effort, this glass replacement works perfectly.

   This product worked very well for my application. I was able to easily remove the existing cracked screen with the included wire without needing to apply heat, which surprised me! I will say that this was NOT the original screen, as I had replaced it once before with a screen/digitizer combo purchased thru Amazon… so I can’t really say if the original iPhone screen glue would be more difficult to remove a cracked screen from.

   The biggest problem was removing the existing glue. It came up pretty well with Goo-Gone, but the Goo-Gone leaves a residue. The hardest part of the installation was removing the residue without accidentally picking up a small piece of the remaining glue and smearing it over your almost clean digitizer. Arg! Persistence paid off and i finally was able to get the digitizer clear enough to continue.

   Four stars instead of five because the included adhesive tape is adequate for the application, but it doesn’t attach the screen nearly as well as the glue. I did notice some spots on the digitizer that didn’t respond as well to touch, and I plan to purchase some UV glue very soon to try for a more professional finish.

   The replacement took me about an hour, with most of that being the removal of the old glue.
   $8 vs $60 for a new digitizer assembly? Totally worth it.

   Package came in as aspect everything to take the I phone 5 apart and reassemble it everything was going good till it came to the part when I had to use the double sided clear tape to attach the digitizer to the new screen no room for error once it placed half way you can’t move it when I tried to heat it up so that I can adjust the screen correctly the tape turned to a white frost and when I tried to move it to adjust it after I heated it up the screen broke so I ended up buying the screen and the digitizer already attached it’s not a bad product if you know what your doing
