   I have an iPhone 6s Plus, and was worried my pudgy overweight device might give this magnet trouble, or the clip would always fail dropping my phone under the pedals. NOPE!! I was pleasantly surprised that the magnet held strong! This thing does its job.
   I bought it because my aforementioned fat phone doesn’t fit in my cup holder. Now I can just plop it right there vertically above the screen in my Ford Edge. From there everything is nicely visible- turn by turn directions are visible and audible. Best of all, my phone isn’t sliding off the passenger seat, or forgotten because it fell on the floor.
   The piece of metal is very thin, but you can definitely notice it if your case is clear. I am using a spigen case with the clear back and the hard plastic outer frame. If you don’t care about the aesthetics of a big rectangle (or circle, they give you both) stuck on the back of your phone, then buy this mount.
   Oh!! It works great as a kickstand, too. The prongs for the vent are rubberized all over, making for a nice nonslip grip. They also don’t scrape your vents at all. For $7 this accessory can’t be beat.

   I had been wanting a nice car mount for my phone for quite some time now but never wanted to deal with sticking an adhesive onto my car, nor did I want a suction cup on my windshield. So after finally deciding to go with a magnetic car mount, there were multiple brands that do the air vent method like this one does but I decided to go with Spigen because I’ve bought their brand before and in my experience thus far, they have been quality products. I bought Spigen’s iPhone 6s Plus Case, Spigen® [Thin Fit] Exact-Fit [Black] Premium Matte Finish Hard Case for iPhone 6s Plus (2015) – Black (SGP11638) along with this product since the two work together. You can place the magnet right into that case (or any other case really, but I wanted a thin case and this one comes with a notch to insert the thin magnet) and then simply slap it onto the air vent mount and you’re good to go. To sum it up, the car mount works perfectly as advertised for me. A few other points:

   – The phone hasn’t slipped off while driving.
   – I can actually shake the phone with force and it doesn’t fall from the magnet. I have to get pretty rough for it to fall off. No concern with bumpy roads here.
   – The air vent mount fits snugly into the air vent (with the smaller clip) and shows no sign of coming loose.
   – You can place the phone in a vertical or horizontal position, whatever you like.
   – Looks great when the phone is mounted. No big bulky clamps keeping your phone in place. No adhesive. It just sits flush against the vent.

   At it’s current price of $7.99, it is practically a no brainer to give this a shot if you’re even remotely interested in having a car mount for your phone. So far, I haven’t experienced any negatives with the mount itself but I’m sure this is a your mileage may vary sort of deal. If you have air vents that are positioned oddly, this mount may not benefit you. I’m also not sure if I would want to use it on a freezing cold winter day when I need to blast the heat in the car, so it may be limited on those rare days. Thankfully, I’m in somewhat of a milder climate so that’s not much of an issue for me but it might be one for you. It’s something to keep in mind. But even if you only used this outside of the winter months, it is well worth the price. It’s also worth noting that you can carry around the air vent mount to use it as a kickstand if you want to watch a movie or something indoors, however I haven’t used it that way and don’t plan to. But I’ve tested it and it does work well as a kickstand, so that is an option for those who don’t mind carrying around the little mount in their pocket or in a bag. This really is a great little car mount at a fantastic price. I’m just wondering why I didn’t buy one a long time ago.

   I have owned many phone holders, all with different strengths and weaknesses. But this one is the best of them all. It is a magnetized holder, so my phones detach and attach easily. There is a small metal plate that sticks either to your phone, or in my case, I stuck it to the case of the phone, in between the phone and the case. There is also a thin plastic protector that keeps your phone from getting scratched. Just remember to place the metal pad in the center of your phone. This will allow the phone to stuck both in the verticle and horizontal positions. It works well in both.

   The “base” of the unit is a small round piece that attaches securely to the air vent of your car (bit it could also provably attach to ant other thin piece of plastic or metal in your car). There are no holes to drill or suction cups or adhesive on your dash, it does not take up space in the window, and it keeps the phone super accessible while driving.

   I hit a few potholes while driving, and the phone did not fall off, the magnet that holds it is very strong.

   Also, because the phone is in the ac vent, it keeps my phone cooler when using my GPS or when using my fast charger. Just remember nit to use the upper vents with the heater, or you might overheat your phone. I just use the floor vents for the heater when needed.

   I use this with both my small iPhone 5s, as well as my large Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and both work really well.

   This is really great if you drive alot and are constantly getting in and out of the car.
